Hair style help, please.?

My hair is waist-length, auburn, and stick straight. It takes me a whole five minutes to brush it and go. I want a low maintenance (I mean close to 5-10 minutes), 1930s or 40s style. No bangs, period. Probably mid-back or shoulder length. My hair doesn't hold curl. Any ideas? Photos? Thanks.

Well, what I would do, would be go to lots of different websites and type in "long hair styles" on google, msn, yahoo, onekey, ask, and other search engines. You have really long hair, so it should be fun to try out different styles. [: You're hair sounds really pretty, and i'm sure that you'll find somthing to do with it. Maybe take a shower then scrunch your hair with mouse? Or pony tail? Side pony tail? Wear a headband? I'm not really good with hair ideas. I just straighten mine and wear either a headband or bow every day.

Well cut it to a little below the shoulder and get lots of layers. Maybe if you really want curly hair get a perm but dont get tight curls get big curls it'll give you a european look i should know i'm part bosnian part french.

cut it to below your chest. the put it up in a bun in the back of your head. also u can cut it to where i said and just put a head band on! very stylish these days

Hmmm.... why dont you do a fergie kinda hairstyle. I dont really know the names of hairstyles but if you want, you can try looking at some celebs hairstyles...its cool.

dye it chocolate cherry; i dyed it that color and it looked reallly good. straighten it and part your hair at the front sideways to the right. thats how i wear mine and i flip it a lot and it looks good. :)

type in straight haircuts

and go from there... if you find a picture you like... print it out, bring to your local hair stylist... here's a few websites to go to for starters:

I'd say if you want to change the color.. go to a professional...

this way you know your hair will allbe colored, where as if we do it ourselves sometimes we miss hair....
